Christie and Colin are as sweet and adventurous as they come! They met in Hawaii where Colin grew up and Christie lived after college. Colin’s cousin, who would eventually be Christie’s maid of honor, originally introduced them shortly after Christie moved to Hawaii. Their first date was straight out of a fairy tale and included hiking and a sunset on the beach.
With a first date like that, I knew their wedding was going to be a dream, and it did not disappoint! The whole bridal party was a blast and loved on Christie & Colin so well!
Even though Christie and Colin’s pup couldn’t make it to the wedding, they made a cardboard cutout of him to make sure he could take part in pictures and events throughout the day!
Another cousin of Colin’s officiated the wedding and shared about the history of the Shaka and the Aloha Spirit. He did an amazing job sharing about the deep love Christie and Colin share for each other and Hawaii.
Christie and her dad had an amazing first dance that started off sweet and slow, but picked up, allowing Christie to put her dance skills (did I mention she was the captain of the Iowa State Dance Team?) to good use.
Every detail of the day was great, from the matching rings Christie gave as gifts to her bridesmaids and both moms, to the live band that really added to the ambiance of the day.
Here are a few of my favorite memories of their day! Don’t forget to scroll all the way down to see the amazing vendors who made the day possible!
Congratulations Christie & Colin!
