In an ideal world you would find me roaming the streets of Italy with my husband and our two dogs - a pastry in one hand and my camera in the other. I'm a travel-obsessed, dog-loving, 20-something and the owner and lead photographer at Tiger Lily Photography, a Minnesota & Arizona based wedding, boudoir & portrait photography company.
For every client I'm fortunate enough to serve, my overarching mission is to create an unforgettable experience while producing genuine, beautiful, and timeless images from each season of life.
I cherish your memories like my own and want them to live on forever. Your story matters and it deserves to be shared.
I forced my friends to participate in “photo shoots” whenever we would get together. Think Picnik photo edits on grainy digital camera images.
Andrew gave me my first DSLR camera for my birthday and I immediately purchased a “nifty 50” (50mm f1.8) lens and started shooting any and everything I could.
I began offering sessions I called Photos for a Cause, which was a way for me to raise funds for charities I was passionate about and learn some great photography and business lessons along the way.
I graduated high school and started my first semester at the University of St. Thomas.
I graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Communication Studies.
I shot my first wedding and Andrew proposed!
I created an LLC for my business and officially named the company Tiger Lily Photography for my grandma, Dori, who was suffering from dementia at the time. She passed away in January 2018.
Andrew & I got married in our hometown!
While balancing my full-time job and my photography business, I suffered a panic attack while I was out for a walk with, Stella. I made the decision to leave my marketing job and pursue photography full-time that evening.
I left my corporate job and went full time in my business!
Two associates were added to the TLP Team.
TLP expanded to serve the Phoenix area.

There's nothing more important to me than family. I married my high school sweetheart, Andrew who is a microbiologist (and, on the days he's available, he's also my second shooter for weddings)! We love getting back to our hometown in northwestern Minnesota to spend time with our siblings and parents whenever we can!
I live to travel and I love experiencing new cultures, foods, and languages. So far, my favorite countries have been Italy, Montenegro, and Croatia! I was also born in Canada, so I'm one of the lucky few who gets to call themselves a dual citizen. My sister and I travel to visit our family in Alberta as often as we can.
We rescued our two crazy fur babies, Stella & Dexter, from Spot's Last Stop! I don't know what I would do without these fluffy babes to keep me company when I'm working from home, and I'm so grateful we were the ones lucky enough to give them their forever home!
Growing up, I struggled with self-confidence and struggled to understand my worth in the world. Even as adults, social media still make us feel as though all women need to look, act, or think a certain way in order to be valued. Part of my mission is to make every woman who steps in front of my camera feel cherished, beautiful, strong, and valued just as she is.
My grandma & grandpa used to make homemade fudge and Norwegian treats whenever we would visit, so I'm pretty sure that's where my sweet tooth first made it's debut! One of my favorite post-wedding traditions is to pop a bottle of Prosecco with Andrew and sip it in our pjs before we head to bed. It's a fun way to celebrate our couples and acknowledge the hard work we put into each and every wedding.
I practically lived at my dance studio as a kid. When I graduated from high school, I auditioned for the Minnesota Timberwolves Dancers - and made it! At 19 years old, I spent nearly every night court-side at NBA games, repping my favorite team and dancing my heart out! These days you'll really only find me busting out awkward dad moves when I listen to Beyonce, but I'll always consider myself a dancer at heart!
